For the first time ever, Bob The Cow comics from 2019 through 2021 are now available to read online.
Bob The Cow officially became digital in early 2022, and since then, comics have been regularly released online through email and online via the comic viewer. That viewer includes hundreds of comics from recent years, but one major part of the archive had still never been publicly available online: the original comics from before 2022.
Between 2019 and 2021, Bob The Cow comics were released regularly, but most of them were never added to a public online archive. Many were shared through email subscriptions, while others were never uploaded online at all. Some comics had never been digitally available in any public format.
Over the past several months, all of those older comics were gathered, organized, and digitized into a new archive system. Every available comic from 2019, 2020, and 2021 has now been added, making three full years of classic Bob The Cow comics accessible online for the first time.
The archive works a little differently from the standard comic viewer used for newer comics. Because the older comics were originally stored and released in different formats, they are currently available as weekly PDF collections rather than individual comic pages. Each PDF contains a full week's worth of comics, preserving the original releases while still making them easy to browse and download.
A built-in date picker allows readers to quickly jump to a specific date, making it possible to locate older comics without manually scrolling through the entire archive. Whether searching for a specific comic, revisiting older storylines, or simply browsing through the early years of the series, the archive now makes it much easier to explore the history of Bob The Cow.
The older comics also show how much the series changed during its early years. Artwork styles, running jokes, characters, layouts, and overall presentation evolved significantly between 2019 and 2021. Some comics feel very similar to modern Bob The Cow releases, while others reflect experimental ideas and formats that were only used during the earlier years.
Although the archive viewer is simpler than the modern comic viewer, it adds a massive amount of content that had previously been unavailable online. In total, the release expands the online collection by hundreds of comics spanning three years of releases.
